Self-Trading, with a desk behind you

You place your own trades and keep full control of every decision. What changes is that you stop making those decisions alone.

Who this is for

Prefer to trade it yourself?

Some people do not want their account managed. They want to learn the market properly, make their own calls and own the outcome. That is a legitimate choice, and it is the hardest of the three routes.

Self-trading clients open an account with one of our partner brokers and trade it themselves. mWealth does not touch the account — there is no trading authority and no automation attached to it. What we provide is the infrastructure and the context most retail traders never get: proper execution, professional tooling, and a desk you can ask a question.

We are compensated through a rebate arrangement with the broker on the volume you trade. You pay mWealth nothing directly, and your spread and commission are the broker's standard schedule.

Support, not signals-to-follow-blindly

The desk shares its market read and the levels it is watching. Those are inputs to your own decision, not instructions — and no view we share is a guarantee of direction.

The toolkit

What lands in your platform

Everything below is configured for you during setup. You are not handed a folder of files and left to work it out.

Key-level mapping

Prior-day and prior-week highs and lows, session ranges and the round numbers gold habitually reacts to, drawn automatically.

Session markers

Asian, London and New York sessions shaded on the chart, so you can see immediately which participants set the move you are looking at.

Position size calculator

Enter your stop distance and risk percentage and it returns the lot size. It is the single most effective habit a new trader can adopt.

Volatility context

Current range against its recent average, so you can tell whether a twenty-dollar move in gold is significant today or entirely ordinary.

Economic calendar overlay

High-impact releases marked directly on the chart, so you are never surprised by a scheduled event mid-position.

Trade journal template

A structured record of setup, reasoning and outcome. Reviewing it monthly tells you more about your trading than any indicator will.

Straight talk

Self-trading is the hardest route

We would rather say this plainly than have you find out with your own money.

Trading your own account well requires screen time, a written plan and the discipline to follow it on the day it feels wrong. Tools help. Market commentary helps. Neither replaces the months of deliberate practice that competence actually takes.

If you have limited time, or you know that watching a losing position makes you act impulsively, a managed or algorithmic account will almost certainly serve you better. We will say so during your first call rather than sign you up to the route that flatters you.

Self-trading suits you if…
  • You can commit real screen time At least the London open or the New York overlap, consistently.
  • You already understand the mechanics Order types, leverage, margin, lot sizing and stop placement.
  • You want to own the outcome Including the losses, without looking for someone to blame.
  • You will keep a journal Traders who record their reasoning improve. Traders who do not, repeat.
